Workshop for patients undergoing cancer treatment

Look Good, Feel Better is a free community service program that provides useful information and tips specifically tailored to help patients deal with the appearance-related side effects of cancer treatment. It is held on Macquarie University campus.

In a relaxed and friendly workshop environment, guided by experienced volunteers from the cosmetic and beauty industry, you will learn how to care for your skin and apply make-up to help minimise the appearance-related side-effects of your treatment.

You will receive a complimentary 'confidence kit', full of skincare and make-up products donated by the cosmetic industry to take home after the workshop. Our two-and-a-half hour workshops teach you so much more than how to apply make-up: they are designed to empower you with practical tips and tricks to boost your self-esteem and confidence while undergoing treatment.

You will also be shown practical and creative ways to help you deal with impending hair loss, with the opportunity to try on wigs, headscarves and turbans to suit your needs.

You are welcome to bring a friend or relative with you, as long as you notify us at the time of registration.
