Cutting-edge treatment through visionary research

As Australia’s first university-led, integrated health system, we draw upon the best in research, resources and innovation to deliver high-quality care that creates better health outcomes for our patients.

MQ Health is an academic health sciences centre, combining education, research and clinical care. Academic health sciences centres are designed to ensure medical research breakthroughs lead to direct clinical benefits for patients.

Patient satisfaction

We measure patient satisfaction through several dimensions including an overall Net Promoter Score (NPS). An NPS above 80 is considered world class.

Our clinicians use the latest technology and approved clinical research to:

  • diagnose and treat patients
  • research and develop new treatments
  • teach the next generation of health professionals.

At MQ Health, research is embedded in our clinical practice.

Patients have access to the most recent treatments by participating in clinical trials and other approved studies.

As a patient at MQ Health, you will often be seen by a team of health professionals, and if you are part of daily hospital rounds, you may be seen by a team of three to seven people. With your cooperation, these discussions actually contribute to your care, as doctors collaborate to choose the best path for you.

Our clinicians know the latest treatment options and innovations because they are heavily involved in research.

Our shared location makes it easy for patients to access a range of health professional services, including hospital facilities, diagnostic services and outpatient clinics (including general practice and allied health), saving time and hassle.

Our unique model doesn't just benefit patients:

  • students enjoy a wide choice of clinical and research experiences, learning from experts in their field
  • researchers benefit from our model because they can directly link and translate their studies to improved patient care.

The MQ Health model supports enhanced patient outcomes. It benefits patients, their families and carers by providing:

  • access to new and emerging treatments that other facilities don’t have
  • expert care from experienced interdisciplinary teams of clinicians
  • cutting-edge technologies
  • specialty surgeries and access to clinical trials
  • improved quality of care
  • holistic and integrated care for complex conditions.
