How can I book an appointment?

How long are the appointments?
Appointments are routinely scheduled for 15 minutes and the doctor will advise if you need a longer follow-up appointment.
What happens if I can't attend my appointment?
If you’re unable to attend your appointment, please let us know a minimum of two hours prior, otherwise you may incur a cancellation fee.
Can I be seen today?
Yes, we keep some appointments available for patients needing care on the day. Please be aware that this will be filled on a first-in, first-served basis.
What should I bring to my appointment?
We suggest you bring the following items to all appointments:
- Medicare card
- Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) card
- Student ID card.
If relevant, we suggest you bring:
- medication list of all your current medications, vitamins and supplements
- any related imaging or pathology results.
What if I need to see a doctor out of hours?
Our opening hours are from 8am – 6pm Monday to Friday.
After hours Home Doctor service (from 6pm onwards) 13 SICK (13 7425).
For emergencies please phone 000.
Please check out at reception after your appointment with the doctor. This is to process the claim for your visit.
If you have any questions or need to make another appointment, the friendly team at reception will be happy to assist you.
Translation and interpreter services
We provide the National Relay Service (NRS) for patients who are deaf and the Translation and Interpreter Service (TIS) for patients who speak languages other than English.
Patients' participation and inclusion in decisions about their health care
Our doctors and nurses inform their patients of the purpose, importance, benefits, risks and possible costs of proposed investigations, referrals or treatments, including medicines and medicine safety. We believe that patients need to receive sufficient information to allow them to make informed decisions about their care.
Allied health provider, referrals and other services
The practice has an up to date computerised directory of local allied health providers, community and social services and specialists to assist when choosing and referring to practitioners to facilitate optimal care.

We offer bulk billed rates for eligible Macquarie University students. This means that there is no charge or out of pocket costs for regular consultations.
To qualify for a bulk-billed consultation, Macquarie University students need to have one of the following:
- Medicare card
- OSHC (Overseas Student Health Cover) with coverage from insurance companies within our partnership network (AHM, Allianz, Medibank)
Students not covered with our network partners will need to pay on the day and claim directly from their fund.
Please note: Students without medical insurance will need to pay on the day (100% out of pocket cost). See following table for student concession fees.

Please note:
- additional fees apply for vaccines, procedures (for example: ECG, spirometry etc.) dressings
- a minimum two-hour cancellation notice is required or a cancellation fee will apply.
Our doctors use this system to follow up on your results and upcoming procedures. Patients are automatically enrolled in some reminder systems, eg the state cervical screening program register, bowel screening or mammograms etc. Please let reception know if you wish to opt out.
Our reception team and nurses are not permitted to give out results to patients, unless specifically instructed by your doctor. In most instances, you will need to book a follow-up appointment with you doctor to receive your results.
