Career development for nurses

Our 12-month Grad@MUH program empowers newly qualified nurses to build a foundation for a successful, long-term career. It is designed to support newly qualified nurses to develop confidence and competence during their transition from beginning to advanced practitioner.

This program is supported by our nursing education series, which focuses on a patient's journey through MQ Health's multidisciplinary care model.

Transitioning from newly qualified nurse to advanced practitioner isn’t easy. Our program includes a number of face-to-face study days to help you consolidate your learning and address any issues you may be facing, so you can grow your career with confidence.

To be eligible to apply for the Grad@MUH 2021 Program you must:

  • complete a nursing degree or diploma that leads to initial APHRA registration as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Enrolled Nurse (EN) between 1 November 2019 and 31 January 2021
  • meet all APHRA requirements including the registration standard for English language skills.
  • register as an RN or EN prior to Monday 1 February 2021
  • be an Australian citizen or hold a visa that allows you the rights to work in Australia
  • be able to work full time or a minimum of 4 days per week
  • be available to attend an interview in mid-October 2020.
