Macquarie University Hospital offers a new era in Australian healthcare.
Based on leading international university hospitals, our 144-bed facility fully integrates clinical practice with research and education.

Our patients' health, safety and comfort are at the centre of everything we do. We have established an integrated model of care where services are streamlined and available ‘under one roof’.
Our wards and theatres are equipped with the latest technology and from the moment patients arrive until the time that they depart, they are looked after by our outstanding nursing, allied health, medical and ancillary staff.

Hospital facilities
By combining state-of-the-art technologies, visionary research and treatments, superb patient facilities, the finest medical minds, and a commitment to compassionate and high-quality care, we endeavour to deliver the best experience for all our patients. Our facilities include:
- Patient rooms fitted with 'cockpits' for patient entertainment (including Stan and Foxtel streaming); radio; telephone; meal ordering and a call button for support.
- Free high-speed Wi-Fi for patients and guests.
- 16 Theatres including 2 new angiography suites (refitted in 2020) and a hybrid operating theatre.
- 20 bed ICU.
- Chemotherapy and day infusion centre.
- Medical Imaging Centre (Macquarie Medical Imaging) - including two 3T MRIs.
- Radiotherapy Services provided by GenesisCare.
- Inpatient and outpatient pharmacy services.
- Two Da Vinci surgical robots.
- One of only two Gamma Knives in Australia.
Patient online e-admissions
We are delighted to introduce our online patient e-admissions portal. This new system ensures that your admission is more efficient, secure, convenient and sustainable.
Patients will be able to conveniently log into the new portal via computer, tablet or mobile phone and you will receive confirmation of admission electronically.
You will also be able to auto-complete subsequent forms.
