Visitors

Whether patients are attending their first specialist appointment, recovering from surgery or dealing with a difficult diagnosis, support from loved ones is pivotal. We welcome you and encourage you to accompany your loved ones to appointments and visit them in hospital.

However, during this COVID-19 pandemic period, we ask you to reconsider visiting the hospital unless you are an immediate family member or carer of the patient. See important visitor information.

Visiting hours for Macquarie University Hospital wards are between 11am and 8pm, though some wards encourage patients to rest between 1pm and 2pm. If in doubt about visiting arrangements, please contact us on +61 2 9812 3000.

Contacting a patient

Each patient will have their own telephone by their bedside. However, if you do not have their contact number call front reception and they will transfer you.

Please contact the main reception on +61 2 9812 3000.
