At our hospital café, you can enjoy freshly made sandwiches and wraps, cakes, hot food and coffee. You can also purchase bouquets of freshly cut flowers. The café is located on the ground floor of the hospital.

Opening hours: 7am to 5pm (Monday to Friday), 9am to 3pm (Saturday) and 9am to 2pm (Sunday).

There are several comfortable lounge areas around the hospital for patients and visitors to use.

The ATM is located at the pharmacy entrance, on the ground floor of the hospital.

The MQ Health pharmacy is conveniently located on the ground floor of the hospital.

Providing a comprehensive pharmacy service, the pharmacy is fully PBS licensed and can dispense all prescriptions for patients, staff and visitors.

We can also tailor-make gift hampers on request.

Parking

Parking is available for hospital and clinic visitors and patients in the secure underground parking station at 3 Technology Place (off Research Park Drive). There are lifts in both the hospital and clinic buildings that allow easy access to all areas – just follow the signs.

Parking charges apply. Ticket machines are next to the hospital lifts on level B1.

The underground car park has a vehicle height limit of 2300mm.

A limited number of parking spaces located directly outside the clinic building at 2 Technology Place are reserved for less mobile people and those with disability permits.

Parking is free of charge in all bays when a disability permit is displayed. We encourage clinic patients with mobility permits to park in the marked spaces outside the Clinic building at 2 Technology Place (off Research Park Drive).

When parking in the underground Macquarie University Hospital and Clinic parking station please present your parking ticket with your Mobility Parking Scheme Permit to hospital reception staff for validation. Hospital reception hours are from 6am to 8pm Monday to Saturday and 7am to 8pm on Sunday.

Discounted parking rates are available for oncology and sleep study patients. Please contact hospital reception for more information. Reception hours are from 6am to 8pm Monday to Saturday and 7am to 8pm on Sunday.

Macquarie Centre shopping complex offers three hours’ free parking and is a convenient 10-minute walk to our hospital and clinic. Visit their website for parking information

Ordering gifts

You can order gifts over the phone using your credit card. If you order between 9am and 5pm weekdays, they will be delivered to patients of Macquarie University Hospital within the hour.

What you'll need to tell us when you order by phone

When you call or email, you will need to provide:

  • Name of the patient and room number (if you are unsure of the room number please call 02 9812 3000 first)
  • Your name and contact phone number
  • Credit card details
  • Gift description
  • Message

Please note: flowers cannot be delivered to patients in intensive care to maintain infection control.
