Orthopaedic Surgery
Dr Alttahir specialises in foot and ankle and complex limb reconstruction surgery. He completed his post fellowship training in Switzerland at Swiss Ortho Center in Basel. He has particular interests in total ankle replacement, foot reconstructive surgery, minimally invasive bunion / forefoot surgery using burrs, lower limb deformity correction, acute and gradual corrections, particularly acute distal femoral, high tibial, supramalleolar osteotomies, as well as Ilizarov frame-assisted corrections and limb lengthening surgery, using an intramedullary magnetic nail technique. He is also highly trained in designing custom 3D implants and models for patient specific surgeries.
