Biography
Dr Alttahir is an Australian trained Orthopaedic surgeon specialising in lower limb arthroplasty, complex limb reconstruction, foot and ankle surgery, and deformity correction. He undertook post fellowship training at Swiss Ortho Center, Switzerland, and centres in Australia. His interests include anterior approach hip replacements, robotic-assisted knee replacements, total ankle replacement, foot deformity surgery, lower limb deformity correction, acute and gradual corrections, acute distal femoral, high tibial, supramalleolar osteotomies, Ilizarov frame-assisted corrections and limb lengthening surgery. He designs 3D implants using advanced CAD-software to give patients customised results.
