Associate Professor Thomas Lam

Biography

A/Prof Lam graduated MBBS(UNSW) in 1984 and attained FRACS in both general surgery (1990) and plastic and reconstructive surgery (1996). He also holds fellowships from surgical colleges from UK and Hong Kong and completed a doctoral thesis from The University of Sydney in 2018. Professor Lam practises as a plastic surgeon with special interest in liposuction for lymphoedema and lipedoema. He is currently the Head of Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Westmead Hospital and an examiner on the Specialty Court at Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. He was the Medical Director of MSI Professional Service (AU), an NGO serving rural China.
