Manage your Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is an eight-week, evidence-based, interactive group program for adults with ADHD.

This is an engaging and interactive program designed to increase participants' skills across a range of areas particularly important to adults with ADHD, including:

  • concentration
  • listening skills
  • managing frustration
  • motivation
  • organisation skills
  • problem solving
  • relapse prevention
  • self esteem.

The program is facilitated by a team of provisional psychologists under the supervision of an endorsed clinical psychologist.

Duration and timing: The group program runs for eight weeks. Groups are run regularly on Mondays, dependent on client numbers. The time of the day the groups run may vary depending on client demand.

Cost: The program costs $300 (non-refundable $50 payable at the initial assessment, the remaining $250 payable before the first night of the group).

Make an appointment: Phone the clinic on +61 (2) 9850 8000 to make an appointment for an initial assessment.

Please note: The waitlist for the ADHD group program is currently open.

We have two programs available:

  • Emotional Coaching Group for Parents/Careers of Children (six to 12 years)
  • Emotional Coaching Group for Parents/Careers of Teens (12-18 years, still attending high school).

These six-week programs assist parents and carers to develop skills to help their children/teens understand and manage their emotions through emotionally responsive parenting.

Parents will learn to:

  • be more aware of and regulate their own emotions
  • become more aware and accepting of their child/teen's emotions
  • communicate better
  • manage challenging behaviours
  • have more positive relationships within the family.

These strategies help their child/teen to develop their emotional intelligence.

  • Children with developed emotional intelligence are able to better communicate about feelings, improve friendships, be more self-regulated and improve self-confidence.
  • Teens with higher emotional intelligence are better able to manage their emotions, communicate better, have more positive friendships, deal with conflict and have greater self-regulation and self-confidence.

Both programs are presented in a group format, which is a great environment for new ideas and strategies to be discussed openly.

Duration and timing:

  • the group programs run for six weeks
  • groups are run regularly on Fridays, dependent on client numbers. The time of the day they run may vary depending on client demand.

Cost: The program costs $250 for one parent to attend or $400 for two parents to attend from the same family, payable before the first group session. Concession rates available.

Make an appointment: Phone the clinic on +61 (2) 9850 8000 to make an appointment for an intake interview.
