Concussion Clinic

Providing rapid assessment and extensive management for patients with concussion.

Conditions and treatments

Concussion management has changed greatly, and it is recognised that early intervention is important for best outcome. Our clinic provides care for those with concussion using evidence based guidelines. We see patients promptly following their head injury with experienced specialist clinicians, as well as provide a written information and a recovery plan.

Factors such as depression, anxiety, memory impairment and sleep disturbance can be common after concussion, and if required our clinicians can continue care for patients over the longer term to ensure best recovery. This includes migraine and headache management, a focus on dizziness and double vision after concussion, and management of lethargy.

We have an active research program available that is providing leading information on the presence of chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE) in Australia, and can provide links to the Australian Sports Brain Bank for brain pledge and donation.
